With this book my goal was to generate interest and discussion about seaweed and its nutritional value but also to the broader issues of food and its impact on society and the environment.


Our eating habits carry consequence to the environment and we need to make changes to our  lifestyle and demand sustainable agricultural practices for our own security in the future. Seaweed is a wonderful food source that could be adopted back into our diets to improve human health and the soaring greenhouse gas immisions modern animal agriculture is causing. if you really do want to do your bit for the planet, you should start with what's on your plate.

Since seaweed isn't widely eaten in western culture despite it's endless list of health benefits and possibility for renewable, sustainable agriculture which could potentially provide much needed nutrition to millions of people, without harming the environment.
